In June of 2015, this 12 million dollar non-profit chose DISC for SEO, CRO, and PPC training. Within three months their already substantial organic traffic climbed by 25% and new users by 50%. In March 2016, they implemented more of DISC’s deliverables, and then switched the website to a new domain name, and DISC helped with the SEO migration. Despite the rule that a domain name change depresses organic results for a few months if not longer, the new domain saw no decline, and the previous SEO continued year-over-year improvements.

In January of 2014, this long-established non-profit chose DISC to help with SEO and conversion rate optimization (CRO). We found that a recent temporary redesign cost them 80% or their organic search engine traffic, and DISC’s work restored all of it. Since that restoration about two years ago, DISC’s continuous SEO work has raised their website to #1 in Google for highly competitive phrases normally dominated by the likes of Wikipedia and WebMD. Since then, SEO results and conversion rates have continued to climb substantially. DISC is currently managing their PPC, and we immediately boosted performance enormously.

In September of 2004, DISC completed SEO and a seeing-impaired mini-site. SEO design principles were (and still are) very close to handicapped accessibility principles of web design. Because this site was constrained by a proprietary content management system (which was not set up by DISC), our seeing-impaired site solved two problems: making the site accessible to the handicapped, and opening content to the search engines’ spiders. DISC highly recommends using content management systems that do not lock you into any one platform or vendor.

In May of 2005, this holding company contracted with DISC for redesign and rebuild and extensive SEO. In the process of the job, DISC’s usability critique of the company’s existing web site convinced them that they needed a complete redesign. The new site went live in the first week of November 2005. The client subsequently made a number of other changes to the site. This job is an example of how a trusting and flexible relationship – not one rigidified by hard and fast contracts – enables both client and consultancy to move together into the best solutions in the process of doing a job. We have passed the torch fully to the company’s team, which is responsible for maintaining the site and SEM.
