Quarterly and Annual ROI Reports on Your Web Marketing
Successes, Problems, and Opportunities
Executive Summary
DISC's quarterly reports assess all ROI, address problems and opportunities, and provide an essential insurance policy against a host of damaging, SEO-related
changes that can -- and all too often do -- happen to web sites. They pull into one report the parts of DISC's SEO Technical Report (which most new clients get), SEO Results Report,
and the Link Report.
The annual reports do the same as the quarterly reports, but provide more planning based on the past year. For client's who have received DISC's Web Marketing Report and
Plan, these annual reports update all sections regarding non-SEM marketing, like affiliate marketing, email marketing, and banner advertising. For example, affiliate marketing, though
recently marred by click fraud, has become more worthwhile as vendors compete and improve. Email marketing, even using in-house lists, has been undergoing steadily decreasing ROI
because of spam, spam-blocking, and information overload. Focusing on your likely ROI, the annual report adjusts the priority of all of your web marketing options according to
developments over the months since your initial plan was produced.
Quarterly and annual ROI reports are designed to optimize your web marketing tactics and expenditures.
For options and pricing, please see the yellow table at the bottom of the section on Explanation and Details below.
Explanation and Details
While DISC encourages clients to do continual ROI tracking in-house, we have learned that clients often do not have the time or diverse expertise to synthesize
scattered reports into a coherent refinement of web marketing actions, and that they do not have the perspective that DISC has developed during 10+ years of seeing all kinds of
reports for all kinds of businesses. This perspective helps us to determine where your successes, problems, and opportunities lay. For example:
- What is the monetary value of your monthly incoming traffic from the non-paid parts of the top search engines, as valued by the average bids for relevant keywords in the
paid parts?
- Has your team made changes to your web site that have damaged SEO or increased your conversion rates?
- Has the highly targeted quality of search engine referrals increased your conversion rate such that you are justified in increasing your SEM investments?
- Does the success of PPC bidding through popular channels like AdWords warrant opening accounts at lesser-known venues like Ask.com and perhaps some European PPC search
engines?
- Has your banner campaign vendor been reporting traffic that doesn't match up with your server statistics?
- Do your server statistics show that you removed a page that was linked in an email newsletter or bookmarked by many customers and prospects who continue to seek that
page?
The list goes on and on, and only years of experience with all kinds of situations and nuances will ensure that you uncover important, actionable truths. DISC has this
experience.

DISC's Prices for Quarterly Reports
Prices for DISC's quarterly and annual reports depend on many variables, but they range from $1500 to $2000 each. Some of these
variables are: the number of web sites and marketing channels you use; the quantity and diversity of your site conversions; the quality of your server analytics and
other ROI tracking solutions; whether DISC produced for you a web marketing plan prior to implementing SEM and any other web marketing services; which tier of the web
marketing plan you may have received from DISC in the past; the extent to which you have modified your web site(s); the extent of changes within the search engines or
other marketing channels you use; and other factors. Because of the highly individual nature of these reports, DISC will provide you with a project-specific quote.
DISC's proposals and phone conversations will provide more details and answer all your questions.
