DISC’s M-System Removes 80% of Middle Management Grind
OVERVIEW
This is a preview of DISC’s 3 tiers of AI/LLM packages. The M-System (M) began as LLM empowerment of DISC’s longstanding SEO & CRO services, which remain a top initial use. It evolved into a complete system for turning separate LLM Projects and tools into a managed team of pro LLM “employees” built for how your firm works. Instead of employees repeatedly explaining the company and department goals to ChatGPT, Copilot, or another LLM, M connects specialized LLM Agents to the firm’s authoritative files, task systems and goals, with clear rules about independence vs. human-in-the-loop.
M starts with getting the information architecture in shape, because LLMs’ optimal results depend on clean, current knowledge systems. With that, M routes work to the appropriate LLM workbench, checks consequential results, and writes important outputs and decisions back to the firm’s key files, rather than leaving them stranded in chats or a proprietary LLM platform.
The objective is practical: deploy AI/LLMs only where ROI will be highest via reduced management and clerical labor and improved workflow. M auto-updates in sync with LLMs’ platform updates.
M can use any top LLM/model
Though M prefers ChatGPT at first, it was designed from the ground up to be portable among top LLMs and modular in choosing economical subordinate models. M writes to your firm’s “Sources of Truth” or “Systems of Record” in your cloud/intranet. Value is not trapped in an AI vendor’s platform or proprietary memory.
That design matters because the top LLM platforms like ChatGPT and Claude aim to become firms’ overall operating system — hence the sky-high IPO valuations. That aim can deliver high value, which M exploits, but those IPO valuations expect today’s loss-leader pricing to multiply after firms are embedded in the platform. M therefore treats proprietary features such as Projects, Agents, memory, connectors, automation, and coding environments as a distinct execution layer that is (A) structured by an agnostic system architecture and (B) written to your own cloud/intranet, so that (C) your firm owns the intellectual capital and results in real time.
DISC does not pretend that this makes M portable with a few clicks. Migrating from OpenAI to Claude, for example, would be analogous to migrating a website from WordPress to Shopify: most is quickly migrated, but a week of tweaking and testing follows. Still, M’s portability — as well as fitting in cheaper LLM models where workflow complexity permits — will give you much more flexibility and customizability than the hyperscalers’ black boxes permit.
Yes, LMM tech will eliminate pro labor, but as a manager you know how many more profitable advancements your existing team could make if your firm’s middle-management grind were removed.
Let’s advance together.
Packages & Cost
After current final testing at DISC and with select partners, DISC will select one or two early adopters for special pricing at 1/2 to 1/3 of the tier prices below.
OCA (Optimize Your Cloud for AI/LLM, “Okay”): This service is not part of the M-System, but it is table stakes for effective LLM deployments. It is also important regardless of LLMs because a neat, clean cloud/intranet is vital to success. See our page, Deploy Your Professional LLM.
Each tier includes the prior tier’s work and cost.
- Tier 1: Discovery and First Agent “Employee.” This begins with DISC’s standard ROI Projections followed by delivering one LLM specialist predisposed to the M-system. This standalone Agent performs crucial work, like SEO Architecture and Writing (SAW) or anything you choose, but it does not partake in the M-System’s automatic updating in sync with LMMs’ updates. It’s designed to show you results before you commit to M. It uses key parts of M but not the entire system. You see how a properly set up “Project” excels over typical LLM use, while getting important work done. $1400 to $2000.
- Tier 2: One M-system Agent Employee (MP): “MP” stands for M Project, where a Project is a top-level department or service. Your Agent partakes in M’s automatic updating in sync with LMMs’ updates, and it integrates with your cloud/intranet to write all progress to your firm’s management systems. $4000 to $6000.
- Tier 3: The Complete M System with 3 Agent Employees. This installs an LLM Operations Manager of M (named Guals for “Grand Unifying AI/LLM System”) that delegates among the initial 3 Agents and makes new department or service Agents as you wish. This is where ~80% of middle management grind is removed so your team can focus on the most valuable advancements in your firm. $25,000 to $100,000. Pricing is broad because each firm’s situation is different, especially the extent to which it has a written business plan, which Guals enacts. Of course you’ll get a firm quote.
M Needs No Special Skills to Use
Using a good LLM system requires no special skills beyond competence in the management domain in which one deploys an LLM Agent.
Regardless of the M-System, all managers should do two 2-hour training sessions: one explaining how to use your people and language skills to navigate LLMs’ strengths and weaknesses (IBM link), and one to cover a few axioms, tools, tips, and templates for productive workflows. See SALI LLM Training. For the most part, LLMs themselves, and certainly M, provide excellent on-the-fly guidance. You just ask it.
(Young YouTubers, often with preposterously exaggerated facial thumbnails, sell training ad nauseum, knowing that many people have yet to learn that customized 101 training is one of LLMs’ best purposes.)
From SEO to LLM Management?
LLMs’ transformer tech emerged from Google’s organic search systems starting in 2017. By 2021, DISC’s shift to “SEO Architecture and Writing” (SAW) incorporated this tech along with Entity mapping. LLMs, being Large Language Models, are “programmed” or managed via highly disciplined writing within a few interlocking documents. In fact, at DISC we predict that soon large law firms will have the likes of an “LLM Contracts” division — contract lawyers are well trained in the rigorous, rule-based writing by which LLMs are tuned to business goals. So yes, after ~1000 hours of LMM study and practice, SEO pros are well equipped for LLM deployments.
Given the linguistic nature of LLMs and SEO, an SEO Agent (or “MP” in DISC’s M-System) is an excellent first deployment for most firms. But MPs can be used in any standard department or profession, with the exception of bookkeeping, for which dedicated software remains essential. Of course a seasoned human pro should review high-risk work by LLMs.
